Mr. Cusack, President of Gifford Park Associates and Executive Director of the New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability (NJHEPS), will moderate the opening Roundtable on “Climate Change- Affecting Investment & Return”, at the Fifth Annual Green Mountain Summit on Investor Responsibility”, being held on 12 September 2006 in Burlington Vermont, and sponsored by the Information Management Network (IMN).
The Roundtable will deal with the issues of what information do investors need to adequately consider and act on the potential risks to their portfolios, and whether fiduciaries are being prudent if they do not carefully examine the financial implications associated with climate change. How do financial managers uphold their fiduciary responsibility and get U.S. corporations and the government to effectively deal with projected climate change risks & opportunities that may affect their investment returns?
These questions will be answered in a discussion led by Mr. Cusack among institutional investors who are deeply involved in this issue, followed by a question and answer period. Besides Mr. Cusack, oundtable panelists will include; Jeb Spaulding, Treasurer- STATE OF VERMONT, Fred Wellington, Senior Financial Analyst- WORLD RESOURCES INSTITUTE, Rob Berridge, Director, Investor Programs- CERES, and Michael Hoover, Managing Director & Analyst, Equity Research Division, and Manager of the Excelsior Energy & Natural Resources Fund- U.S. TRUST.
